  Ft. Worden is coming quickly.  Note the review classes below and get ready

  SEPTEMBER  2010

  • Sept. 2 (Thurs.) - Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., Seattle, room 2, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
    Dancing will focus on dances that will be done at Ft. Worden Weekend, Sept. 10-12.  This is the last review class.

     

  • Sept. 3 (Fri.) - First Challenge Class starts the season at Shoreline Historical Museum, 749 N 175th St, Shoreline.  Click here for a map.
    Calum  and marcia will be playing for this first session of the fall from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. 
    Come a little early and help set up (enter on the back side of the building); and, plan to stay a little afterwards to share time and laughs at a local restaurant. More information on the Classes page.  There will be juice and cups; bring other refreshments if you wish.  See you there.  Elinor V.


     

  • Sept. 5 (Sunday).  Last Sunday evening Social Class for all levels at Danceworks Studio, Redmond, WA. continues.  Teachers Lea and Jim Maiolo are doing a summer season class.  All levels are welcome.  More information in Classes.

     

  • Sept. 10 - 12 (Fri.-Sun.) - RSCDS-Seattle Branch Annual Ft. Worden Weekend Workshop, located at Ft. Worden State Park.  Click here to learn more.

     

  • Sept. 14 (Tues.) - Eastside experienced classes begin.  See Classes for more information 7:30 - 9:30 PM.  Register ahead through their parks programs - Peter Kirk Community Center, Kirkland.

     

  • Sept. 15 (Wed.) - Eastside beginning classes begin.  See Classes for more information 7:30 - 9:30 PM.  Register ahead through their parks programs - Peter Kirk Community Center, Kirkland.

     

  • Sept. 16 (Thurs.) through Dec. 16 - Beginning step dancing at Phinney Neighborhood Center.  See Classes for more info.

     

  • Sept. 19 - Dec. 19 (Sundays) - Sunday evening Social Class for all levels at Danceworks Studio, Redmond, WA.  Teachers Lea and Jim Maiolo are doing this fall season class.  All levels are welcome.  More information in Classes.
     

  OCTOBER 2010

  • Oct. 12, 19, 26, Nov. 2, 9, 16, 30, Dec. 7 (Tues.) - Beginning Scottish Country Dancing in the University District.  See Classes for more details.

     

  • Oct. 16 (Sat.) - Monthly Dance Party The event will be at the Congregational Church of Mercer Island .  More details closer to time; the dances are already chosen and available for you to review.

     

  • Oct. 29 - 31 - RSCDS-SF Weekend Workshop at  Asilomar. Located in Monterey Bay at Pacific Grove, this weekend is a traditional event with an incredible setting.  Their 2010 Application is now available for you to enroll.  Talk to Irene, Eileen, or Elinor if you have questions.  Their application is attached and the ball dances are included there.

  • Dec. 10 (Fri.) - Monthly Dance Party The event will be at the Congregational Church of Mercer Island .  More details closer to time; the dances are already chosen and available for you to review. There will be a silent auction and lots of holiday fun.

  FEBRUARY 2011

  • Feb. 18 - 20, 2011 The Hawaii Branch of RSCDS is announcing its next Aloha Winter Weekend in Honolulu.  The guest instructor for the weekend will be Alan Twhigg from California, and live music will be provided by the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a and Society Strathspey Band, also from California.
